Jessco87 Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Just wondering if anyone has been fishing moomaw since the water came up and how the bite has been since the warm weather this week? And any tips on presentations to use or any specific colors to throw for this time of year? Quote
Super User Bird Posted February 12, 2022 Super User Posted February 12, 2022 It is a DEEP clear lake and sits at high elevation so water temps will be stubborn to rise. This time of year you may be better off targeting Smallmouth in the head waters. I've had some good days with speed craws and creature baits in pumpkin blue or red flake. That deep clear water in the main lake makes it challenging for LM bass but the last time I was up there I talked with DNR on site and he said with confidence to fish everything at the 20ft depth post spawn. If I were to fish it Pre-spawn, throw a suspending Jerkbait in bone. Quote
