So let me get this straight...you can upgrade your Fuego CT and Tatula CT with Elite Long Cast Spools? If true this is the most exciting news since sliced bread. You are basically turning your Average Joe CTs into bombers!!! The Fuego is easily the best sub $100 reel out there and the Tatula CT is the Fuego's big brother. This is going to be great!!! I have my Fuego on my cranking stick and Tatula for Small Swimbaits it'd be nice to get a few extra yards casting distance for both!

I heard the casting distance wasn't improved, but the lighter weight bait performance was in a very good way.

Is the spool in question a Daiwa replacement or aftermarket ? Where can you get one?

Daiwa factory part. Model: Z02-5093. TTT had them in stock up until recently for $44.99, but sold out. Check with Daiwa.

Japanese websites, even American made Japanese equipment websites are impossible to find useful information. I can't find replacement spools anywhere on Diawa. Oh well, apparently everyone found out that TTT sold them and they're gone. Dream short lived. I was hoping to get one for my Fuego CT and to throw finesse crankbaits. I see Asian Portal has some aftermarket stuff, but I just wanted a Diawa Elite Long Cast.

Kind of like buying an Oldsmobile Delta 88 and putting a twin turbo engine in it and nice sound system. I love my Fuego a lot, but it would be cool to get a spool upgrade.

By the way Phish is one of my favorite bands! I used to follow them back in college! 

I recently ordered a couple of spools from sds custom on ebay.     They arrived from Ukraine in just 10 days .  
 

it is very hard to decipher what they fit and the type of spool.  One of mine is a hyper long cast sv.  Can an sv spool be a long cast too?  Time will tell.  I haven’t tried that one out yet.

SDS usually shows a pic with relevant dimensions.

Yup. Gotta try it out to see where it shines.

I can’t really tell a difference in casting distance between my CT and Elite long cast. I prefer the Elite in every way over the CT but casting distance isn’t an issue with either. ?‍♂️

Can’t really give an opinion there as I don’t throw anything lighter than 3/8 on either. I throw lighter baits on SVs or Shimano 70s

The person who made the claim installed the Elite spool in a Fuego CT and found it exceptional at throwing lighter baits. More free casting than a SV.
