Bullnose Rudder on Bass Raider 10e

Featured Replies

Have a question on the Bullnose Rudder for my 10e. I run a DIY rudder on the back with the motor up front and it works great, the plan is to replace to DIY rudder with the Bullnose but it is 1/2 the with of the DIY rudder " Bullnose is 12 x 6 and DIY is 12 x 12"

Will the Bullnose be enough to keep me tracking straight ? has anyone else used just the bullnose on the back ?

Thanks for all your time and info

I've got the Bullnose rudder mounted on a Minn Kota 55 on the transom. (boat pic below)

I'm happy with it's performance so far.

Not a super dramatic difference in handling of my particular vessel.

However, the boat does track better on a straight line and responds faster to turns.

I believe when it's mounted on a smaller &/or lighter vessel, the rudder's affects would be more apparent. Like I said - nothing but good since 2014
