What do ya'll think of this lure? looks like a great bang for your buck. i like the available options and the price is right. i'd really like to get one.

First "swimbait" I caught a fish on.

I don't like any soft swimbait with a lip on it.

My friend swears by the 'Charlie'.  I have three that haven't hit the water yet.  I hear Megabait is out of business, so stock up on the Charlies if you like them.

Have you checked it out?  The whole front half of the body is hard but covered with a thin soft layer.  It is just the back half that is all soft and segmented.    

I have also been thinking about trying this lure out. It has some great action in the water. Anyone else use it?

I had some and sold them all! I don't like the way they run at all. Soft swimbaits without a lip are the way to go.

I've used the smaller one. just a crank bait as far as i am concerned. have not tried the big ones. not interested. Anybody that is interested in them, they are being sold as Mr.Bill by a company I can't remember.

I just checked out the site.  Megabait was sold and the company that bought them is keeping the Charlie and some Jigs from the Megabait line.  So Charlie lovers will still be able to get them.  Mine will probably go on Ebay sooner or later...

Oh I hear you, I have two and I think they swim too wide.  I have never caught a thing on them but that could be because I don't have any confidence in it.  I thought you were worried about the bill not being secured well.

I fished these when they first came out, nailled like 5 or 6 Lm right away and thought I found the ticket to all my fishing dreams. Like any other lure, they will produce with the right conditions. I actually caught fish on the chuck woolery moto lure and the budwiser beer cap with treble hook
