I'm looking for a graph for my kayak. Basspro has the Humminbird Piranhamax 170 for $90 - any good?

If not whats a good graph in my price range?

I have one and like it a lot. It shows a lot of detail. I will even show my lure when I am drop shoting.

Humminbird even has a mount for kayaks

Thanks for the replies.

The eagle is a little out of my range, but if I were to spend $200 I've read good things about the Humminbird 570.

Good to hear about the 170, I just might get it from BP if I don't find any better deal.

I found this

for mounting and should cost less than $10 and do the same thing as the kit if not better.

Make sure you do your homework about the 570.  I got rid of mine.  Another person is having problems with his, and a third had to send his new one to HB for repair.  You may want to find something else, or make sure you can return it easily if you get a dud.  When it worked, I really liked it.

I'm leaning towards the 170 for economic reasons unless a better option presents itself, but thanks for the heads up on the 570.

If you are not afraid of going with used equipment I might start there.  There are a lot of people upgrading to side imaging, both lowrance and h'bird.  I know a guy who just upgraded and let some 2 year old gps, color units go for $150 each.  Not that you need gps for your kyak but, I think there are some bargains to be had out there right now.
