found an 07 triton 186 in my area for about 14k.  it has a merc 150 on it with about 25 hrs. 

anyone have any experiences with this boat?  good deal on the price?  going to take a water ride on it this weekend. 

I have a TR 186 and like it alot... the only real gripe I have about it is there is no remote drain for the livewells.

Take it to a quality mechanic and have it checked out................

14k seems like a great deal providing you do the above and he gives it the green light.

One thing I would question is only 25 hours on a three year old motor. Also if it is an Optimax make sure the mechanic does a thorough job on it....mine had a compressor work lose and get torn up luckily it was under warranty. The new compressor required a fourth mounting bolt that wasn't on the original.

I also have a Tr186 and mine is a 04 and I love the boat! Yes, have it checked out real well.That is good that you are taking it for a test run! As for the price that would be a steal at 14K. I just did my ins. again and my ins. agent told me my 04 was worth 14K so a 07 would be worth much more! Good luck I hope it works out for you and send us some pictures!

may not be getting the boat....talked to seller and he has someone coming from a pretty good distance away today.  I couldn't get off work so it may sell today or tomorrow before i get a chance to look at it >.  anyway thanks for the replies
