Spincast reel question

Featured Replies

I love spinning reels for lighter lures and all, but I have not used a spincast reel in a very long time and was wondering if they really do "reduce" line twist. I have heard people claim this but it seems spin cast reels have a very similar mechanism of line retrieval in comparison to spinning.  Thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated.

Fixed spool with rotating bail pin. The bail pin doesn’t have a roller like modern spinning reels have. Spin casting reel Line twist is equal if not more then spinning reels.
