Looking to buy a 1990 17' Cajun Bass Boat with 90 HP Johnson

Featured Replies

Take somebody with you that knows what to look for. Best if you can take it for a spin before you decide, and better if you can find a mechanic to give the motor a once over. Cajun's were d**n good boats in their day, and most of those OMC V-4's were good strong engines. Need to be mindful of rot (especially around the transom), as those boats have a fair amount of wood construction.

That's probably one of the Rajun Cajun models.  Great boats, quick.  Not sure a 90hp was max HP for that boat though.  As stated.  Wood construction.......  need I say more.

Transom and floor deserve special attention.  Motor needs to be checked by a mechanic.  It may just be a matter of a motivated seller needing cash FAST.

Let us know.

Dan it says it seats 5 but don't buy it if you plan on getting on plane with 5 people on it it's not going to happen... Look at the sticker it's 5 people or x amount of weight...17' boat I'm guessing no more than 550 pounds.

Looks Like a great boat and very well kept but I agree with javelin200 take someone with you and definitely give it a good lake run before you buy it.

Good Luck!!

Thanks for all of the replies. I ended up finding a 1999 bass tracker pro 185 with a 50 HP merc and service records for 4 k. Super clean boat too!!!!
