3 waters big fish 105 vs old town sportsman 106

Featured Replies

I am looking at getting a fishing kayak and am wonder which of these is the better option for standing stability, storage and quality?
thankyou

I havent had either but I think I would go Old Town out of those two, welcome to Bass Resource!

I'm biased, I own an Old Town.

Old Town has a 5 year warranty on their pedal drive.

Old Town has been around a long time. Never heard of the Big Fish. The Old Town 106 is extremely stable.

Holy cow the Big Fish weighs 135 pounds without the seat and drive? Nope, total deal breaker for me. Old Town is about 85 pounds. That's 50 pounds extra you will be carrying, pulling and pedaling.

I don't need to know anymore. Old Town no question, especially for the price.

Edit to add: Warranty on pedal drive for 3 Waters is 1 year, 3 on the hull.
