New Fenwick Elite Tech Bass

Featured Replies

Anyone have any more info on these? They seem to be spec'd very similar to the old ET Smallmouth series.

Link doesnt work and I went to the PureFishing site and couldn't find anything.

You have me curious because I love my ET Smallmouth rods

I loved my Elite Tech smallmouth rod,the handle did wind up falling apart on me ,but it was sensitive and alot of fun to fish. These Elite Bass rods are powerlux 200 blanks, I had  an Abu Garcia Veracity which was powerlux 300 and I wasn't impressed with it , so I'm not optimistic about these. Link below.

I have an elite tech Smallmouth that's become one of my favorites. But, it seems to be Fenwick is not the brand it used to be from the rods I have handled in store lately.

Which Smallmouth rods do you have?  I love my ET Smallmouth 6'9" ML XF spinning rod.

The 6'9 M-XF with the super short handle and a 6'10 M-F 2 piece, both casting. The 6'10 M-F I really like, have it paired with a Shimano SLX MGL. I have also owned the HMG 6'9 ML-F spinning a few generations ago, which I regret selling.

The current models just don't have the same quality or feel, but that's just my opinion. The new rods looks nice, and should I see them in stores, I will certainly give them a few minutes of my time checking them out though.
