Interchanging tackle?

Featured Replies

I have been fishing for about 3 months and I have a question regarding tackle change.  I was wondering if you could tie a 12"-16" fishing line to a T-rigged worm and the other end has a loop tie.  In this case I could switch it out if I want to go to another lure.  Would this affect the motion of the worm or would this presentation detract fish?  I have trouble tying lures or worms on so I like to use a swivel and clasp.  Also, if you think this may work, how can I make a strong loop to attach to the swivel?

Again, I appreciate any help.  You have helped me out tremendously; I have been reading through the forum for about a month and learning a lot.  THANKS!

I have done this before but now rarely use a swivel I tied a taut line hitch and then tied overhand knots on either side of it but I still lost the worm bucause the swivel was too weak but I do not think that the loop came out.

Some people prefer swivels on their cranks and topwaters.  ( I don't)  But it does make changing lures faster.
