Conquest 51 custom x and mag brakes vs 51S ''Shallow Special''

Did a field test yesterday. Casted 10 times with both reels.

I'm just astonished how a a superb caster the 50S is, with a spool arounf 12-14g (anyone know the spool weight?) But I'm really worried by the way brakes act in both reels. I'm really used to magfoce V/B/Air/FT or linear mag reels,  under zero adjusted spool tension. My ''spool thumbing'', a.k.a real life Digital Control is lacking, since I'm rarely using centrifugal brakes.

I think the behavior of both reels will cause a surge in backlashes, since the differences in braking are easily felt.

I'm not really interested in doing the microcast spool and braking customizations in my 51S. Could anyone give me any tips over dealing with so different braking systems?
