Boat Cover Waterproofing?

Featured Replies

What do you guys use?  The Canvas guy told me that my boat cover is probably more cotton than anything else because it is from 1992.  He suggested 3 options:

Camp Dry-Which seems to only come in small cans

Canvac-Which I cannot find

Raincheck-Which I cannot find

and a last resort-Thompsons water seal

Any other ideas?

Thanks-Arlo

After going through a boat cover (125.00-200.00) every 12 to 18 months, I have  through up my hands and now gone to the blue tarps, 28.00 each.  I live in Southwest Georgia and the UV  and hurricane winds wreaks havoc with canvas and other types of boat covers.  It is waterproof and cheap.

Who mfg'd the cover? Aurora Canvas will recondition and re-apply waterproofing to your canvas cover for a modest price. I've had mine done, and it looks and works like brand new.
