In Florida the bycatch sometimes is better than the main target

Was catching only tiny bass one after another them this happens….

 

 

 

That is a first for me a monster Peacock on a weightless senko, this one must be hungry they

usually are not attracted by worm baits…

This is why I'm not a bass angler. I'm a multi-species angler. If I catch bass? Great! If I catch anything else, from bluegill to marlin, I'm equally happy. 

Nice peacock!  When I lived in Pembroke Pines they were just starting to become plentiful.  The canal behind my home was full of LM bass.  Some were nine pounds or more.  I stocked the canal myself from fish we caught in the Everglades and Okeechobee.  I've caught some big snook and tarpon in those canals too. South Florida is a fisherman's paradise.

agreed...that's why I live in Florida. always will.......

Ha, I often times have the reverse problem, especially in winter and spring, catching LMBs when I'm targeting the exotics! Nice catch and definitely rare on a worm!
