Hi I was wondering if anyone with knowledge of or personal experience has installed a recessed trolling motor foot pedal mount on their ranger 185. My marina is unsure whether or not doing this would put at risk the strength of the boat or something, so i'm trying to do the research for him and give him the go ahead.

It will not any effect structural integrity what so ever

I put one in my 18ft Champion, makes no difference. Incredibly beneficial to have.

They bored a hole for the drain tube in the center compartment so it doesn't get water in compartment as tray goes into compartment a bit. Overall it was a nice install and worked well.
