Livescope Transportation on Kayak

Featured Replies

Question for people with a Kayak and Livescope.

How do you transport the Livescope pole?  I would rather not leave it connected to my Kayak while its on my trailer.  From what I have seen you cant unplug the radar unit from the cord that goes to the black box.  Correct?

Mounting pole will be just PVC pipe with a ram ball attachment to a ram ball connection on my gear tracks.

The only other thing I can think of would be to find a way to mount the cord that goes to the Black Box in a way where I can unplug it and just take the pole with me.

I am just avoiding an issue of having the radar unit getting knocked and bounced around on kayak in transit.  Any thoughts on if its safe to keep on the kayak and I'm just paranoid or or help with mounting so I can have it disconnect as easy as possible.

Kayak is a Kaku Zulu.
