any feedback on a charger 295 bass boat

Featured Replies

Thinking of making an offer onj a charger 295 bass boat.  Its s 1998 with a 200hp mercury.   Anyone owned one or rode in one?

Solid well built boat. The company based in Richland, Missouri has been around since the mid 70's. I owned a late 70's pad hull Charger. Have ridden in the 195/295 style hulls. Excellent rough water riders. Well laid out as far as storage. BIG rod boxes.

Now the not so good. S-l-o-w boats. Slower than a Ranger even.... ;) The droop nose can take a little getting used to. When you're at rest fishing, the front nose of the boat gives the illusion that it just drops right off into the water. Does take some getting used to. The radical V hull has been known bow hook in a few rough water circumstances. It's not a persistent problem nor one you'd probably ever experience but I've read enough first hand experiences to realize it is a nuance of that hull.

thanks cart,   Its got a 200 so surely it wil still hit 60 right?  I fish ozarks alot so i'd rather have stable ride than flat out speed.   I dont know i may run down and look at it is in tulsa. You think i could do better for $9000?  97502040_1.jpg

60? Yes.  If you're fishing and riding the waves like you often do at LOZ, you'll probably have a little more water coming over the bow than you're used to but the trade off is the great ride.

Sweet looking boat.  $9k seems about right.  I'd definitely try and offer less though    ;)
