there have been studies conducted on the subject, seems like they always conclude some bass get caught over and over and over and some bass never strike a lure 

 

Up here guys will drive around open water for an entire day without casting until they spot a big musky on the sonar and proceed to harass it until it bites. Every advancement in tech should be looked at through the lens of a "fair chase". At some point it will be too far and the only thing protecting these fish is the culture of catch and release. Thats great and all but the harvest regs need to keep up and it doesnt prevent some mortality from catching big deep fish in the heat of summer. Following fish around and watching them react to your lure in real time is too much for me when you're not restricted to a hole in the ice.
