New to this site need help with info on Electric Anchor Lift

My dad is wanting to install an electric anchor lift in his boat. My mom asked me to see if I could find one for him as a Christmas gift, and order it for her. I do not know much about them.

I have done a search and found several, mostly Minn Kota, but the majority of the reviews on them are not good. But I do not know if the people that provide the reviews are not using the lift properly, i.e. taking off with the anchor still down. I was wondering if any of you guys have one, have used one, or if you just would like to give some info.

It is for an 18 foot War Eagle aluminum boat. It has a 60 horse Yamaha on it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I would like to go with the Minn Kota, but would like gather more information first.
