Kill Switch

Featured Replies

My Ranger 364V with a Johnson GT 150 has a normal kill switch with the lanyard, but when I pull the lanyard out while the motor is running, nothing happens.  Any suggestions on how to fix the kill switch?  Do I need the electronics on for it to work?  Should I just take it to the dealer :'( ?  Thanks.

Pull your Shifter box control box off of your boat i think you can get into it by just removing a couple screws.Find your kill take a multi-meter and check for continuity when the kill switch lanyard is hooked up you should have no continuity and when you pull the lanyard you should read continuity if you have continuity aether way then your  kill switch is bad. other then that i cant help if there is a problem on your motor side i don't know anything about OMC wiring
