I currently have a Tracker 1860 side console and am looking at adding a fishfinder/gps. Im not looking for state of the art equipment, rather just the basics and would really like to have a gps feature. I am  looking at the Eagle Cuda 350S and was wondering if that was a good choice?

Also how difficult would it be to install?

If you are handy with tools at all will be no problem. Get you a coat hanger(If needed), straighten it out, and get after it.

I used to have an older Cuda. It was a good unit and served me well.

If you can afford one with color I'd recommend it.  The color really helps you decipher readings quicker.

Installing the unit is not too difficult.  The scariest part is drilling holes in the transom mount the transducer.   Just make sure to read all the installation instructions, especially the part about transducer placement, before you start. 

If you get one with GPS if it has an internal antenna you won't have to mount a separate antenna puck.  Unless you are going to mount it in the dash console then you'll need an external antenna unit.

Hot Rod, that is not a problem in recent years. All internal GPS antenna models have the antenna positioned in the housing so in-dash mounting is not an issue for GPS reception.
