Tatula 7'6 MH Meyer - Deeper cranks / Options

Featured Replies

Anyone have any advice or experience using this rod for deeper cranks, generally 15-20 FOW. Fish St. Clair and Erie 90% of the time.  I currently have a Dobyns Champ (764CB) and spec wise the 7'6 Daiwa seems to be similar. It would be paired with a Tatula 150. That reel has been bullet proof and one of the reasons I'm looking at the Elite rod.

I've looked at composites and really don't like the feel and although I really like the Dobyns I'm looking for a change for no other reason than to try something different. I'm open to other options or ideas around the $200 price point. Thanks

i have no experience with this rod, but a tw review said it was a great 6xd rod. take that for what it's worth.

after having a couple of the tatula elite rods, i've decided what the pros like, and what works for me are two completely different things. there's nothing wrong with the rods, but what they use them for, and what i use them for are different.
