Quit talking about it everyone. I keep kicking myself. I have enough smeltinators from last year. I was really after the Strike King crank baits for $3. I'll never buy another gammy drop shot hook I have too many packs after multiple orders

I had a ton in my cart and it was late and I never checked out. Updated cart was $97 and change, I was under $40 and should have pulled the trigger. All prices have leveled out.

Slow and steady. We use a 4.5" Crush City Freeloader...thank us later. They have simple shad colors that last forever. We use Tennessee / Gizzard / Natural shad in our clear smallmouth waters.

Berkley Dredger has treated me well in that range. It's get's down quick and comes through fairly clean.

We fish St Clair and for whatever reason we find the heavier ned heads work better on the smallmouth. We basically follow the Gussy recommendation and find it successful. I would say it out fishes the lighter set-up 2:1. If it's slick calm we might give the lighter weights a try but usually go back to the heavier side.

Take advantage for the sales at Bass Pro. The have the DT series on sale in all the sizes. Disco Shad and Pearl Grey Shiner are excellent. They also have the KVD Elites series baits , the square bills and the deeper cranks. Simple shad colors there as well. Good luck it can become an addiction. I started getting into them 3-4 years ago and it's my favorite way to fish but I'm out deeper in a clear lake.

I really tried to like the Contra flouro in 12 and 15 lb along with their braid but never liked any of it and stripped it off after a few trips. Specific to flouro, I just couldn't launch a crank bait or 1/2 tube like I was used to. As far as cranking I stepped down to the 12 to try to get a deep diver down but without the longer cast it never served its purpose. Just a thought if your looking for wallet friendly options. Bass Pro has the new Berkley Gin Clear , I just got it. I did a blind test with my kid and based on feel it beat lines twice the cost. I'm going to get some more today @ $10.00 a spool.

I think it's time you give up this crusade to bad mouth them. Let it go. Clearly you're not shopping there so why keep bashing. It's getting old!

Yep, they are decent minnow style bait. I primarily used them for drop shooting smallmouth. Although he is no longer with them Gallants Gas was by far my favorite color. I have several packs and if I can find them on sale I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again

Yep, I don't quite know what it is but every time we throw them they catch fish. It's almost to the point of not picking anything else because the whole line-up catches fish. We are have been addicted since they released

I have the GB40 and it's worth the investment. I have a 4 stroke 250 Merc. and prior to that a 2 stroke. I would not be on the water without it. I've had two occasions where I lost juice to the starting battery and it saved the day. I've also helped others on the water that were having issues and they were able to "jump" their boat and get under power.

Yeah good luck. Used to be awesome now they tell you tough luck or it's a crapshoot. Same glasses bought a the same time the nose pad failed. One they warrantied for a fee and the other they said no.

Yeah, it must be selective. After my first attempt it appeared to be normal pricing. I went back in and the same items were cheaper and discounts showed up when I put things in the cart. Again, I'm just trying to stock up on what I use to the tune of $143 and out the door for $57 and change. I did stray with some Bill Lewis stuff, I like their MR12. They had a perch color School Bus they just cried bring me home...so I did 🤣It was $4.00

100% this. That video was key to getting bites. Of course we use fall and early spring and for as simple as it is , it's quite effective on the brown ones we target. I've heard they can we used deeper in the warmer weather months as well.

Seeing the comments I'm thinking about the post spawn period up north just as the mayfly hatch goes in full swing. They are always searching to eat the larvae and sucking them right off the surface. This could be an option.

I like them for quick changes in color or size when I'm cranking.

I've used the smaller Finisher for fishing smallmouth and have caught fish on it. It's worked when I needed it but they are other baits I use that produce consistently so it the ole sayin, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I looked at the Krej and love the jerk bait bite. I almost bit on that sale too but decided to restock with what I know works.

I've been seeing it a lot more with a Scheels order too. It seems to be the "new" thing. Obviously you can opt out but my main reason for doing it was I have a Chase card that gives me that protection, damage and loss on delivery, up to $500 per order

Their Seaguar line the deal IMO and some other terminal tackle that I usually go through. I snatched a gift card as well. Most of the soft and hard baits seemed to be leftover excess or obsolete stuff.

It does not apply to the Delta series of rods. It works on the higher end rods. I have a couple in my cart that I saved.
