I have a 71lb Motorguide trolling motor with foot control.  I really want a hand tiller controlled unit and a friend of mine mentioned that he had heard that it could be converted.  Has anyone heard of this or know if it's possible or is my buddy a lunatic.  Thanks

You sure can, all you need to do is replace all the parts except the motor lower unit.
