looking for new GPS

Featured Replies

I am looking for a new GPS and was wondering everyones opinions on whats good and whats not.  i am not looking to spend $2,500 on a 10 inch screen i dont need it.  Just want a good GPS with a good picture for a reasonable price (under850-900)  I am not partial to any one brand so all opinions are welcomed thanks and tight lines.

im using the lowrance hds5 with sonar / chart, with the 3.5 version update it the chart is great, showing contours, groves and ledges on the map , very easy to use also

+1 for the HDS 5.  I love mine. However, if you plan to add structure scan down the road the screen will be a little small.

Depending on the lakes you fish you might could do without the insight mapping and save some money.

If you are sure that you won't be adding any side imaging etc. then the Eagle unit BPS has on clearance for $209 is a great value. Just a few years ago this was a top of the line unit..............Al
