Red San Francisco Giant Piranhas, White Piranhas, Pike Characins, Peacock basses, and one Fat Snook, at Piranhas-AL, 201km from sea.

Gear 1 : MS Evolution 12lb 1.4m + Tatula 100/Shallow Spool + 10lb test braided line (ML Setup or ''Modern BFS'' if you are a BFS angler poser-wannabe-impostor. Light trolling.

Gear 2: Acehawk Victory PE0.4 + Conquest 51 Custom BFS + 6lb test braided line.

Gear 3: Custom Fiberglass rod 6lb + Conquest BFS HG + 6lb test braided line.

Lures: Rozante 63sp (generic), Raptor Shad 70 (trolling, ML gear), Squad Minnow (generic), several generic minnows e a KV Lips Stickbait (Brazilian brand).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Fat Snook was distant 201km from the sea.

 

Nice fish. I have to say I wouldn't handle a piranha (or any fish) by the lure like that, you don't get stuck?

I was bitten almost a year ago, when putting it on the cooler. The White Piranhas have frenzied behavior, but it never bites you if you hold them by the lure. most bites are from when they are spinning because of strong winds or the shaking-frenzied behavior.
