I have a 96 tracker with a motorguide tm. My speed control doesn't seem to be operating and I'm wondering if there is a switch that I can replace inside the foot pedal, or what. Weather the speed is set to 1, 2, or 3 it goes the same speed. If it's on 5, it feels right. Today I had it on 3 (moving at 1 speed) and it randomly started moving at 5 speed. Any ideas?

I found and fixed the issue. It was a bad connection of 2 wires in the top housing. Cut, reconnected, and wrapped all wires with insulating electrical tape. Works like new and didn't cost a dime to repair!
