A few years ago I bought this rod from the original owners of Ark Rods.  I made it my shaky rod and had good success with it.  Two years ago the guy who does my rod repair and alterations talked me into letting him build me a custom rod.  I like it so much better than the Ark Rod that I have nearly quit using it.  

Recently a local guy offered a special on custom rods so I am having him build me an identical one.  It is almost finished so I should have 2 great shaky rods and one that needs some work.  I used it the other day cranking and it was okay, however, I don’t crank a lot.

 

My question for those of you who have similar rods how are you using them?
