UPDATE!!! SORRY EVERYONE but Photobucket wants me to spend 399 dollars to host my pictures...I just refuse to do that!  You can still check the pics out with this link: http://s709.photobucket.co

  • Picked up my bass raider 3 or 4 months ago and I absolutely love it.  I did a bunch of mods including a casting deck and the deck is rock solid.  It's 3x more stable on my deck than standing in some o

It sure is Bomber7.  It's the 40lbs thrust "Bulldog".  So really not any special set up, just mount it to the front, set about midway in the boat , and off I go.

I'd like to see a picture if you have any - been thinking of doing that to my Sun Dolphin Sportsman 8' - just not sure how to mount one.  Right now I have my MK TM mounted to the bow and have a big foot switch on it.  Does pretty good just to steer I have to of couse use my hands.

check out my training wheels i put on the Raider.  Gonna make loading and unloading much easier. took them out for a test run today, yes it does make some drag, but for what i do, it wasn't to bad.

That would be too much draft for some of the places I fish but if it is good for you then kick ass.

Is it braced underneath to support it so where it is connected up top does not bend with the sway?

I have been thinking about taking a ride to Okeecobee with mine soon. Have you taken yours there?

It is braced underneath, still wanna give this a few more trial runs to see if i like it.

That's a big body of water over there, I don't have a small motor so i have been a little hesitant on taking it to a big lake.

I was thinking about trying the perimeter canal or one of the bays on a nice day. I figure if kayaks can do it then a Bass Raider can. Even with my 30# trolling motor I can outrun most fishing kayaks so I will be ok even if my motor fails.

I watched your canal video so I may have to hit up some Cape canals this weekend. I promised my buddy Matlacha this weekend but I have not heard from him so he may have to work, if so I am going bass fishing.

Nice one py8pointer

Nice fish Py8pointer...I see you...

Nice fish. I want to catch her great grandma.

I hooked up with a nice 5lber last week on the fly but she dragged the boat into the weeds and got off.

This week I was using my anchor but I didn't hook into any fatties. Lotsa babies but no grannies.

I have a Sun Dolphin Sportsman and I was wondering if any of y'all had any trouble with it getting hot and some of it melting in the summer?

Hi, I will be getting a Pelican Bass Raider 10E soon and wanted to know if this boat would fit in back of a Toyota Tacoma.  What is the width measurements at the bottom of the boat and the top.  Also the height with seats folded down.  Thanks ahead for any help on this.  By the way this is a great forum with lots of great advice, thanks again.

Welcome aboard in ownership of these fine watercraft :respect-059:  - I love my Sun Dolphin Sportsman - gonna take it out I think next week as it is suppose to be nice weather.  :leisures-and-sports-076:

Well guys you've convinced me!

After reading through this entire thread and seeing all of your setups I decided to pick myself up a 10' Bass Hunter. Found her on a local craigslist ad. Shes quite dirty having been stored in a barn for awhile but thats nothing some Simple Green and elbow grease can't cure.

I did a test to see how much work it would be loading and unloading it into my Ranger and its not too bad at all Ill be able to do it by myself.

Its just the boat itself so i have to buy the other stuff. I should need

Trolling Motor

Battery

Battery Charger

Paddles

Life Vest

That should be it to get me started right? Can't wait to get out on the water!
