Best Advise. If your married, Find a way to get home when UPS drops off all the Lures, Rods, Reels, Pliers, Hooks and any other gear you will be purchasing so the Wife doesn't find out how much your spending per month on gear. Every time the wife sees UPS, I get the same thing. What did you order Now??? LOL It's an addiction, Got to have new Lures even if you never use them.

I let the wind dictate what I use for weight. If the wind blows a big bow in the line and I can't keep contact with the bait I will go heavier. I always use the lightest weight possible. I adjust when I lose contact with the bait go heavier when I can't work it Like I want.

If your looking to keep your reels for years of use. I don't know about Lew's but I've had parts ordered for 2 of my Tatula reels for a month now, Daiwa can't keep up.

I thought gar at first. One came by the boat and it was brown and orange looking. Musky?? Will gar eat other species such as bass, trout and bluegill ??

I had the Crius and Sold it. I have 3 Tatulas I bought the Crius to add as a 4th combo for General fishing nothing specific. I could never get used to the Clutch bar (the thing you engage when casting) i guess that's what you call it. When I cast I use my thumb to control my cast. The clutch Bar on the Crius when engaged leaves my thumb a lot lower on the spool, unlike other reels I've cast where my thumb was on the top of the spool during the cast. I was never able to get used to it. It just didn't feel right to me. Other than that the reel seemed pretty solid.

Like I said I have 3 Tats. The T Wing has never been a problem for me. The 2 Grooves in the OP's Post look like they are on the back of the T Wing. I just don't understand how that grooving would occur ? I fish mine with 50lb power pro braid since I got them. Never had a problem with the T Wing, Positive or Negative.

I'm just wondering, to the guys that do reel repair. Is it possible to put a regular Line Guide on a Tatula, and get rid of the T Wing??

So in the picture, your talking about the 2 grooves on thee back of the T Wing?? I own 3 Tats and have never had a problem, Just want to make sure what I think I'm seeing is What you are talking About.

Buy the Tatula, Take care of it and it will last for years.

I think they have been in business for a while, Making fly fishing rods and reels. The new baitcasters they have come out with are solid nice reels.

The thread comes off the top of the spool one side and the bottom of the spool on the other. I had a problem with it getting to tight.

I had never seen 0 bearings before.
