can you even fit a crate in it?  The rear looks like a dry hatch that sits above the well.  It could be the photo angle and it actually sits down in (in which case you're good for a small crate).  I think you're going to be using 3500 planos and soft bags.  The KVD speed bag for worms is a great kayak choice.  $10, mostly waterproof, fits 20 bags of soft plastics or more depending on the plastics.  I used to keep soft plastics in hard boxes (but still in the bags) but that was a waste of space.  Two speed bags (if you need two) under the front mesh and a couple 3500s in the rear.  Then use the center hatch well like a day box.

A standard milk crate fits fine with a room to spare. Don’t plan on anything up front yet. Gonna put a parka in the crate. I already removed the foot rests.  That rubber net up at the forecastle is still empty. Like the idea of slipping the paddle there while casing. Put on handles where the molded ones are, ran a runner bungee from pad eyes on either side of the seat to leash my net from one side to the other, reinforced the stern and bow eyelet with flat washers with JB weld for the handles. Need lumbar and gel cushions… gotta have that, a little boost. That’s about it.

Yes a standard milk crate fits with room to spare. Just two plano lure boxes, one with hooks and jig’s and the other with lures. A soft bag with soft plastic worms and shad and craws. Still thinkin on other stuff.
