Air Pressure in Texas

Hey y'all,

This is something I don't understand. I've used weather underground 10 day forecast for a while now to look at upcoming weather conditions. Here in Texas, the air pressure right now seems inversely related with temperature. I am trying to understand this. Is it due to the extreme heat? The pressure definitely has not been like this at other places of the US that I've been.

Let me show you what I am talking about. Here's a snippet of my forecast. Black line indicates pressure. Watch how the pressure changes over the course of each day.

Inverse correlation - “Warm air is less dense and has a lower pressure associated with it. As the sun heats the ground, the air near the ground warms. Remember, heat is less dense than cold air so the warm air will rise. This rising motion creates a natural vacuum lowering the air pressure at the Earth's surface.”

The above copy/pasted from one of many such explanations on the web. The hotter the temperature, the more noticeable the disparity, which is probably why you’re picking up on it now.
