Thinking about this rod primarily for swimbaits like magdraft 6” and frogs. Anyone own this rod and use it for either? 

i have the 7'4" legend X and i have used it for carolia rigs to swim jigs the rod is super sensitive and very strong. i dock flipped a 4lb smallie a couple days ago like it was nothing. super great rod but i have not used magdrafts or frogs with it but i know it would get the job done  

Thanks for the response. Kinda surprised not more people fish the rod. I’m certainly open for suggestions. No real budget…. Ideally I’m thinking you don’t necessarily need 600$+ for the techniques described but the monkey has beaten me down through the years and I’ll listen to what he has to say

You don't need a x heavy to fish a magdraft. Heck, it's fine on a MH jig rod.

It’s not an extra heavy the line is called legend x…. It’s just a heavy

I got my kid the mojo bass version of this rod for his bday for frogs. Haven’t used it yet but it seems pretty powerful.
