Backpack for Carrying Edge 3700 Cases and Rods

Featured Replies

I like to carry a backpack with 3-4 3700-sized Plano Edge cases, but my backpack doesn't have a good way to rig it for carrying rods, and I'm usually carrying 2-3 rods with me (whether bank or kayak fishing, I like multiple rods and plenty of tackle options). Does anyone have or know of a bag that can hold 2 or more rods and 3-4 of the 3700-sized tackle boxes? Thanks!

Take a look at Albacore fishing back packs.

I recommend you take a look at fly fishing backpacks. They are generally designed for carrying two rod tubes, which I have used to carry conventional rods. Some of the older Simm's backpacks worked pretty good and can be found used periodically.

Flambeau "IKE" Ritual 50

Holds either 4 or 5 3700 boxes

Holds two rods

Side pouches with slots for various items including one that holds leader spool

Might even come with a box or two

Relatively inexpensive: I see them widely available for $49

I paid $40 for mine a few years ago. I wouldn't say they are heavy duty, but I have had mine for a few years and have had no problems with it.

Evolution Outdoor makes a "Largemouth 3700" backpack that holds three 3700 boxes and a 3600 box.

My son has one of their "Drift" series tackle bags (not a backpack)and I think I like it better than my Daiwa D-Vec Large Tackle Bag, which I am tempted to get to replace my Daiwa bag. They (evolutionoutdoor) have sale prices often if you can afford to be patient (seems like every month)

Lew's also makes a 3700 backpack. I've never seen one in person, but it looks nice enough.
