Sweetwater Creek State Park

Featured Replies

Hey yall, hope everyone is doing well.

My buddy and I are planning on hitting up Sweetwater Creek State Park tomorrow afternoon to catch some bass.

I've heard mixed things about this reservoir. Ive heard the bite can be pretty nice near the bridge and the old mill.

I would greatly appreciate any tips/advice.

Well, we went out there yesterday and not was that tough.

That lake is heavily pressured. I lost a couple of bass, but really only had 4 out 5 bites all day. Nothing in the boat. Not sure I'd go fishing there again.

On a side note,  the weather was absolutely wonderful for a summer day. It was surprisingly not as hot as it usually is this time of year. The breeze was pretty constant as well. The scenery near the spillway was also really nice. 20230804_185606.thumb.jpg.0eeca0dbd79e70b64f7235e566267889.jpg
