Bazoo Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 I've been mainly fishing Freeman Lake in Elizabethtown Ky, but also a few other places. Freeman Lake is a good spot for me as I can stop there and fish a while each time I'm in town. It's got a lot of bank pressure, and with that, I'm proud I've coaxed a few bass into taking the chance on my lures. I'm wondering if anyone else here fishes Freeman Lake and could give me some advice specific to the lake. And dare I ask if anyone in my area could help me find more places to fish, I'd appreciate it. The only other places I know are Saunders Springs in Radcliff, and Valley Creek (pronounced crick) Reservoir in Etown. There is a small lake that is church owned that I fish in Stevensberg also. I'm not familiar with anything else. Thanks all. Quote
Bazoo Posted September 10, 2023 Author Posted September 10, 2023 I still haven't found anything new, but I have some leads. A friend says he knows of pond on a WMA that is pretty good, but I haven't had a chance to get out there yet. Quote
Bazoo Posted October 1, 2023 Author Posted October 1, 2023 I ended up meeting a gent at the lake and we got to talking, and exchanged a bit of spot info. I got a lead on a new spot, and made a new friend that seems as passionate about fishing as me. Praise God. I did tell him about BassResource too! Quote
Bazoo Posted October 11, 2023 Author Posted October 11, 2023 I was shown a spot on rough river where I can enter or fish from the bank the other day. Didn't hang out to fish it any, just check it out. Never fished a river before, should be interesting. Quote
Kirtley Howe Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 Be prepared to lose some lures........river fishing from shore is a lot of fun, but it is not as easy to unsnag a lure from shore than it is from a boat....and rivers tend to have a lot more snags than lakes. Quote

Thanks. When we were there, there was some baitfish schooling real close to the ramp area. Water was way down, so no one using it. Quote
