Sufix ProMix vs Sufix 832

Recommended Posts

I’m can’t see very well anymore due to cancer tumors in my eyes, My wife took me to Cabela’s to pickup some new fishing line,  I asked the sales person for Sufix 832 but he gave me Sufix ProMix and assured me I had the correct line, afterwards my Brother came over to help string my Rod and ask me why I didn’t get the 832 ? Is this a big deal or not please help. I live 45 minutes one way away from the store…I called and spoke to the sales agent about it but tried to blow it off by saying the 832 only comes in 800 - 1000 yard spools …

I use 832, mostly.   But honestly, I bet I would not know the difference.   I buy my braid mostly on my stores availability.  It can be all 0ver the place.

go fishing friend.  Only one true way to find out.  What color did you go with?  Can you see it?

Sorry to hear about your experience with a bad sales person. They should have gave you what you asked for and it comes in 150 and 300 yard spools as well as bulk spools. It's good line and comes in high visibility colors which may or may not help you.

That being said, if you can live with the suffix pro mix and don't mind the color of the line, it's worth a shot to see if you like it since you already have it and it is probably impractical to drive that distance for new line.

Sorry you had such a bad experience, I would certainly call and file a complaint with management. Hope it works out for you.
