Do you plan to use braid with a leader?

What size reel?

No leader just straight braid ..I'll be pairing it with a shimano ultegra or sahara 4000

With straight braid I’d go MH/F. Around 7’2 or so.

Maybe a omething in the Ark Tharp or Cobb series at that price point. Or a St Croix premier if I could find one on sale.

i like an XF for bottom contact.  in my mind, it bolsters sensitivity.

What length and power in the tatulas?..I'm looking at the 6'8" (1/8 to 3/4) or the 7'2" mh/f spinning rod...but want something shorter but with adequate power up to 3/8
