Dobyns Champ Extreme 702c ML casting rod uses???

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a casting rod for small 1/8-1/4oz t rigs/jig, 3/32-1/8oz Neds, Fluke Jr, 1/8 Oakashira screwhead, 1/8oz jig/grub baits.

I have a ML Phenix Feather that's great, but I'm wanting something a little stiffer. I'll be putting an Alpas Air TW on it.

I can't find one locally to check out.

I tried a Cashion ML bfs rod, but it has too slow of a tip for me.

I have the Dobyns Sierra 682c and it handles 1/16 neds and 1/8 grubs very well.

While I have been interested in the Phenix Feather ML, I don't own one and no stores near me carry them. So, I can't give you a comparison between the two

I got a great deal on GLX 842. It’s the perfect rod for my needs.

You are able to load and cast 1/8oz lures on a GLX 843? I had an NRX+ 843 and I can't imagine it being able to load and cast anything that light.

Curious, how do you like it for bottom contact? Can you feel pretty good with those light baits on the end?

I just ordered this rod last night. Can let you know once it comes in if you're still looking into it
