Good buy?

Featured Replies

Inspired by my enjoyment of the Chronarch 51mg (Cullman Outdoors can't be beat), I picked up a Chronarch 100mg from my local outfitter for $200.  I consider it a steal.  Would I have been better off to just watch ebay?

If I'm looking on Ebay for something, I usually look for a "Buy It Now" price.  It always seems like once the bidding starts the prices have a way of getting up to  full retail......or even more :)

Still, you may luck out.  Can't hurt to keep an eye open there.

I will hardly ever buy fishing equipment off ebay unless it is basically a steal. I would much rather have a store or retailer that I can return the reel to for service, replacement, etc if there are any problems. With ebay it's a crap shoot that the person you are buying from is legit or would work with you if you get a faulty product from them. I'm not saying all ebay sellers are crooks, but you have to be pretty careful.

You got one of the finest reels Shimano has ever made for $100 less than it 's original retail value. It 's steal.
