First soft plastic mold modification

Featured Replies

I wanted a small ball tail on a mold (like the Great Lakes Finesse Drop minnow).  So, I milled out the tale on this 2.5” mold from Do-it.  I am not sure if it will do what I want, hoping the ball tail will add a subtle action to the tail.  I did half the mold with the modified tail and half staying factory.

Tried it in my pond briefly since it is still not frozen for the winter.  Unfortunately it is too shallow by shore and hard to see tail movement on small lures.  Looks like it will fish fine, but to see how it is really moving, I may need to put the lure in the pool in the spring.  I should try putting a GoPro in the pool and take video of a bunch of lures.
