Just gettin into BFS mainly due to injuries that hinder casting heavier baits for extended times. Bought 2 Alderaren BFS reels and a Shimano Expride 6'8" light and Loomis NRX plus Inshore 841c. Weight fo each outfit Expride 8.1oz and NRX 7.8oz. I have been catching crappie and bass in my pond all of December using the Expride and a LC Pointer 65 and it"s a ball and can handle pretty good fish. I just got NRX today and tried with Z Man 1/15oz jig and finesse TRD and it casts great. The Aldebaren and NRX 841 might be the ultimate BFS combo 

Nice! I have to wait till April/May this year to get the Expride 6'8" Light casting rod, I piece. All places are sold out.

 

I was able to get the Curado light 6'8" casting rod to match up with my Curado BFS reel.

When I go out now, I am one extreme to the other. Three swimbait combos and three BFS combos.
