Chatterbaits at night?

Featured Replies

Anybody using them at night?

seems like a natural?

I watched my buddy whack an 11lb 8oz'r on it last september

I used one a couple of weeks ago around 5 am, pre-light and caught a few decent bass. I use one with a blue and black skirt and add a Netbait baby paca craw to it.

I like to use them anytime, I know this may get some replies (good and bad) but this is my favorite bait next to Senko's.

Good luck!

ive got a black and blue one, and a red and white one. i havent tried either at night, but i think it would do well, since it gives off so much vibration.

I can't catch anything on em to save my life, at least around here. Every time we go down to Florida I tear em up on the chatterbait but they won't touch it in any of the rivers or lakes around me.

But I am very interested in seeing how that "vibraspin" (I think thats what its called) from KaRu lures works at night, it looks like it gives off a lot of vibration.

A senko and a chatterbait. Let me start off by saying. WOW!!! that being said," way to keep an open mind tacklebox."

Great Sarcasm from a guy trying to sell lures.

I was thinking Brent was serious as well.

Putting a senko on as a trailer? Sounds like it would work well IMO.

I may just try that with some of my jigs and the one chatterbait that I own.

No sarcasm here. might outta just read posts sometimes for face value. thought the last was a compliment even.

If this is true, I retract my statement made above. I just felt a hint of sarcasm based on the fact of Senko popularity and ease to fish. I go fishing to catch fish not to clean lures, so if it works I use it. Good luck to Bruce and his lures.

My dad will often tie on a 4" trick stick on about an 8" leader line, directly to the hook on a buzzbait, and gets the second reaction strike about a third of the time that the bass misses the topwater. i assume you could do the same on a chatterbait.

makes it look like something is already chasing it. he uses a pearl silver one most of the time. i've never tried it, but he swears by it.

Well I will have to give that a go seeing as you sent me some pearl sticks with my last order in my "freebie" bag.  8-)   Thanks again!
