do any of you quantum users know if there is a big difference between the quantum accurist pt and the 500pt..i currently own 3 quantum accurist pt's and may buy another accurist or 500pt or daiwa advantage supertuned.....

I don't understand your question...

The only Accurist PT they make is the 500 and 501. The same way with the Accurist CX 500 and 501

upon further review the cabella's web site has the accurist pt 500&501(my mistake)but also has an accurist pts for about $20.00 more...it may be for salt water but i'm not sure

I see the 2 reels your talking about. The accurist pt is the older version I believe. The 500pt is basically the same, except for the aluminum frame and the coating. The older model had the stainless steel BB system, the 500pt has their new polymer/stainless hybrid BB system. The older pt has a flippin switch, the 500pt doesn't. The 500pt is also a LP setup for salt.
