Would you order a reel from Walmart?

Featured Replies

I was given a gift card to Wally World for Christmas and besides an Ipod, I really can't think of anything to get there.  I saw they have the Revo series of reels online, but I am not sure if I trust getting a reel from WalMart.  I have heard that even though they carry the same name, the reels produced for Walmart have lower quality components in them, I don't know this for sure, just what I have heard.

So has anyone bought reels from WalMart and if so, have you had any problems with them?  The price is the same as Cabelas and BPS so it is not like they are selling them for reduced prices.

I would be willing to bet that revo reel is the same thing bass pro and cabelas has.  I'd get the reel- don't let the quality issue bother yeah- the warranty will be the same.

I am with Jetsprint2 on this I would order it. ABU Garica is a 1st rate company.

I would ask Reel Mech, he might be more informed.  I only say this because there are two versions of the Ruger 10-22 rifle.  One you buy in an actual gun shop, the other you buy at Walmart,, and the Walmart version is a cheap copy, that will not last like the other one you buy in gun shops.  That is why Walmart is cheaper on them.... cause they cost less to make, and they are made to a lesser standard.

jmho.

Happy New Year!

huskertko,

If it comes in the box with all of the paper work then why not. The only thing I wouldn't by from walmart would be any demo or display goods.

Thanks, I would be ordering it off their website.

And a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you as well.
