Bought this rod actually by mistake instead of a med wjr. Dumb, I know but I think I just put down the wrong one and didnt notice until much later. A good lesson to learn for sure. Make sure you know what you want before you walk into the shop.

Anyways, Im not disappointed in it but kind of unsure what to use it for. Seems like a quality rod but as someone who uses casting rods and then spinning tackle when trying to downsize at dale hollow it kind of is is in a weird area. Currently have it set up on a 2500 kage with 10 lb line. I didnt want to go lower because of the power of the rod. Im thinking it may be decent for tubes or larger strolling (freeloader from crush city). I wondered if anyone had any suggestions.

grubs, 1/2 oz jerkbaits, worms, larger poppers, wacky, cranks, 3" swim baits would all be in that rods wheelhouse I would think.

Thanks, after researching a bit I think Im going to try some mid strolling on it with the free loader and a 3/16-1/4 jig head. Puts it up to about a 1/2oz. Most of the other things I throw on my casting rods.
