  1. I fish a Daiwa Tatula XT 7 M and its great. Comes in a 2 piece.
  2. Thanks guys! I don't mind longer spinning rods. I just wasn't sure if the 872's softer tip would be an issue with hook sets using wacky rigs. Ty
  3. Just fished the XT yesterday in 7' M spinning. Great all around stick. I bought the two piece so I can throw in the truck. Love it. I fished wacky worms with it. For $99 you are not going to beat it.
  4. Never fished a phenix but all the tatula rods I have fished are great for the money. I've had the XT and regular in spinning models and they are an excellent value. The cork is not the greatest quality but no complaints other then that!
  5. Just curious if anyone has fished the 872S for wacky rig fishing and liked it better than the 852S.
  6. I have been fishing the current model in spinning and its a great stick! Looking forward to these.
  7. Hey FA, I was always curious if this model nrx throws a 110 jerkbait well. What size jerkbait did you try on it? I have an 842S but curious about the MH power.
  8. I catch 10 lb smallies and 15 lb largemouth all the time in Ghaven. Occasional 20 lb walleye as well. Go big or go home
  9. St. Croix Avid Shimano expride on discount Daiwa Tatula Kistler's new magnesium
  10. I accidently ordered all my fishing gear.
  11. The bling on fishing rods gets old too. More parts the glue comes undone on or more plastic parts to break. I prefer the simplicity. If you fish hard you want gear to last.
  12. Hey CC, I fish jerkbaits a ton and have fished a lot of rods from both of these manufactures. I think what you want is a legend tourney 7-1 M F. I know its not elite but handle is comfortable and power is perfect. Also look at expride 7' M. A legend elite in M would also work well. Loomis does not have a great model for jerkbaits (110 size)in my opinion unless you find a 842S conquest (more power Tim Allen grunt).
