I have a Steez, 4 Zillions, 2 Alphas, and 2 Tatulas. Safe to say I love my Daiwas. However I have also owned most Shimanos from the SLX on up to the Bantam. Sold off most of them except a Curado K and a Chronarch Ci4+. Never tried a Met though. I was going back and forth between another Tat, and Alphas and trying a Met out, and while trying to see how much a Met was gonna be on APF, I accidentally ordered one. It’s the 2020 model 6.2:1 and I snagged it for $245 shipped. So pretty good deal I’d say. Can’t wait to get it in the mail lol

I “accidentally” ordered a 20 Metanium 6.2:1 from Digitaka. My first Metanium after having mostly Curados and Calcuttas.   Love the look and it is so solid and smooth. Cant wait to try it out for real in the spring.  Good choice !

I am Daiwa fanboy as well, but I have owned a couple of Bantams, a couple of Cores, a couple of Mets, and an Aldebaran, all by accidents, so no worries. I plan on accidentally ordering an Aldebaran BFS soon, as I am accidentally getting into BFS fishing. 

 

The 2020 frame is great. The previous one that came out in 2013 was so bad, tho.

BFS is great especially with an Aldebaren BFS

Once you get it in hand and use it.  I wonder how your going to explain the purchase of the second one...

Can't just have one... Met 13s and met 20s are my favourite reels... Latest bantam isn't far behind them now... 

Well I got it in the mail today and it’s a sweet reel. It’s as smooth as my Zillions and looks really nice. I will say it’s more clickity clackity than a Zillion but that doesn’t bother me.

 

Supposed to hit 70 degrees next week so I hope to try it out when it warms up. Wind chills were below zero yesterday, I guess that beaver really did see his shadow
