  1. Kayak fishing really does teach you how to simplify your trips no matter the circumstances. I use carry all kinds of junk in my boat just in case.. but kayaking has taught me that I really don't need to carry a full rod locker and a Plano box with jitterbugs every time I hit the lake and be successful. Simpler is better, easier and more fun.
  2. There are things we can do about it, from speaking with our wallets and not purchasing at these absurd prices to.. I'll stop, but most people know..
  3. I'm sure my experience will negatively impact this number
  4. I'll go as far as I try not to lose anything.. big emphasis on the "try" I do not abuse anything either.. but really if it scratches, it scratches Those reels will never be on display again
  5. Tacticalbassin sold many, many 6'10" exprides as the perfect jerkbait rod. I had to order online as it was impossible to find it in my area at that time, very underwhelm to say the least.
  6. I don't eat fish in general, but by all means eat the bass if you like them. I'm more against pro tournament fishing that kills a lot big fish for a guy to take some pictures with them at the weight in.
  7. Its simple... FG, Dallas and Chevy
  8. I'm 48, I use to have perfect vision but age has been really hard on my eyes. my prescription is not terrible but since I only need them to look things up-close, I hate to remove my sunglasses change to my readers just to tide a know. Things could be worst, so swapping glasses is no be deal and I'm happy its just that..
  9. I use the pinky method and its pretty simple that way. With ultra thin line is more difficult for me but that is my sight not the knot. I just hate to carry my reading glasses to the water.
  10. Yes the JDM version Casting. I like it so much that I thought about the spinning one too.. I don't fish anything with this power rating on a spinning setup so I gave up the idea.
  11. I believe the ratting is pretty accurate, I use it mainly with a keitech 3/8 jig with a Mini D chunk trailer and its a perfect rod. I really don't go much lighter than a weightless Senko which also works amazing, I see no issues with handling up to 1/2oz. I have it pair with a Daiwa Zillion SV TW and its great.. but sorry I don't really go very light with it...
  12. Then I guess there is something in the format that makes the UI and reading panel seem smaller when compared or maybe the black background makes it more prominent.
  13. I have 6'10" M+ Poison adrena, love it.. I like fishing close quarters in the kayak for light jigs and texas rigs with it. For what I do its perfect..
  14. I got to be honest besides the great addition of dark mode, I see no difference in the user experience besides the larger sponsor panel.
  15. That I should not worry about filming them and enjoy the moment.
  16. I modify Shimano large handle and knobs assemblies to fit my daiwa reels. I have purchased these amazon nuts and locking bearing items and they work.
  17. Why did missed this sale!!!!
  18. I don't know I feel like Senko's are one of the few baits you can throw on almost any baitcaster/spinning reel I would just look for an SV or MGL reel (Daiwa for skipping)
  19. Regular on a shaky head.. never fails
  20. Bandido bugs... also their green pumpkin and purple color is great.. Besides that, I did not see any other original baits that would convince me of buying their stuff.. I really do not care that the faces of their company are some "dumb" kids (dumb enough to be very wealthy kids)
  21. It not a big deal.. until you want to use your kayak to get in tight spaces where kayak fishing shines. When I'm going to the main lake and fish mainly open water I do carry the 7+ rods. When on the river or thinking of going in certain areas they stay home.
  22. My bare minimum is loose the drag star at the end of fall and oil in spring.. Actually that is all the maintenance I do for the year.
  23. The sad part is that many family owned business like this one will go under with all the price increases we've seen it during this year, Fishing equipment has been slammed with high prices and that for sure hits their bottom line and the ability to keep their business running.
  24. It really depends on your budget if money is not a problem why bother, if money is tight then get to it. Its really not difficult if you have basic understanding mechanical work. I pay for mine as a package for winterize, shrink wrap and storage. back when I lived where it was used all seasons I did same work myself once or twice per year at a fraction of what I pay now.
