  1. Get the beer cold on the fridge before putting on ice in your cooler.
  2. I truly believe you are overthinking this. Braid to leader is common practice and liked by many regular fisherman (I don't care about pros so I couldn't say) But so straight fluorocarbon. Try the braid/leader on spinning reel, I'm sure you will like it.
  3. I went trough something similar, in my case I was just tired of leaders (I can do a FG knot efficiently but still) I cannot say I love fluorocarbon but it has made my life on the boat a little easier.
  4. I did that too, a few years back I was thinking of buying left handed baitcasters. My thought process was that since I use spinning reels with my left hand, transition to a LH baitcast reel would not be a big deal. Thankfully before doing that I tried left hand pitching, it wasn't hard at all and it only took me a few trips to transition.
  5. I wear the free tackle warehouse shirts while working in the lawn. Other than that no.
  6. That's what he wants you to believe
  7. Its all about the hook size/wire gauge On a Ned rig with a very light wire gauge hook then I use spinning. Texas rig with big worm and supperline hook I would use a casting rod. I'm sure it can be interchanged.. thankfully no rules on fishing
  8. Any fast reel will do. Get your favorite and have fun.
  9. That's a really good questions, As a Digitaka shopper I really hope that's the case.
  10. Keep in mind that reciprocal tariffs to other countries other than China are on hold until July 9th. At that point WE the importers will be paying the tariffs in order to clear customs. (25% from Japan,)
  11. Yes it is!!! but in my neck of the woods they are rarely seen, first time my dad saw one of those in my hand he asked "what are going to with that??" before getting into the boat. I must say that he used a more colorful language than that. But yeah it is really fun
  12. This happen to me before.. in order to brake the spell I had to do the unthinkable. Spinning reels, light line and finesse presentations.. I was in shock, but it worked.
  13. In my experience, the only headache on fluorocarbon is getting rid of birdnest, my god they suck..
  14. I have purchased some gear from the boat on Amazon.
  15. Millions of people have been brainwashed by these multinational corporations to believe that it tastes good when it doesn't. Just like when Tabaco companies made us believe smoking was good for us.
  16. Out of all fresh water fish only walleye and perch are eatable.. Saltwater fish, that is another story.
  17. That's pretty awesome, I have 6 rod holders in my blackpack and never carry more than 5. Actually 4 feels like the sweet spot for me. Rod holders on my OT PDL are only used for the net and the forward facing one for re-tie. Send a pick next time you're fully loaded..
  18. Hold on, 14 rods on a kayak??
  19. When compared with my two main spinning setups (A MLF Expride A and a MF Expride B ) the GCX does not provide (in lack of better word) the feedback on bottom composition as the Exprides that are at the same price level do. Don't get me wrong, its not a bad rod at all, but to me at least, it does not feel like a $270 dollar rod. Bite sensitivity is good, but I like to feel when my dropshot weight moves from sand to rock to mud and I just don't get that on the GCX.
  20. I bought the GCX Drop shot, it is the most lifeless rod I have ever put in my hand even when paired with a Shimano Sustain.
  21. This is not something should feel about this way.. be proud about the personal growth that saved your life thanks for sharing. I just found out that the original post is more than a decade old.
  22. I used to pay for it when it was $29.. It stop making sense to me when I figured they always have limited stock and ended up using TW all of the time anyway. I didn't feel that pro was worth $50, not even with the app.
  23. 1/2oz jigs are not problem. Now I use this in mostly natural lakes with not super heavy cover and does amazing. Its very sensitive and crisp but at the same time being lower power than a standard MH it gives it a nice bend. Not to mention that is super light and conformable. I have it pair with a Daiwa Zillion (yes I mixed all Shimano rods with daiwa reels) and its really nicely balanced. I think this is the perfect rod for this application.
